đ§ââď¸ What Youâll Do as a Finance Accountant
In this role, you will report into the Head of Finance, and you will take ownership of our core accounting operations, regulatory and financial reporting, and the development of robust internal controls and processes that evolve with the business. Youâll oversee critical areas such as month-end close, while also embracing the fast-paced nature of a scaling healthtech, handling ad-hoc projects with agility and a solutions mindset. We are looking for someone who can manage an end to end monthly reporting and control cycle.
â What Experience Youâll Bring to the Team
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and manage other internal reporting requirements.
Ownership of accounts receivable and payable work - overseeing Payhawk for reimbursements, card payments and invoice payments, plus raising client invoices, reviewing and collecting receipts from clients, plus monthly bank reconciliations in Netsuite
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations while supporting the growth of the business
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations - key to a solid month end process - this is for our UK business primarily (large scale transactional level) but also for 3 international subsidiaries (small scale transactional levels)
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
đĄ What Weâre Looking For
Must have high level software experience with Netsuite
At least 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a start-up or scale-up environment (experience in health tech is a plus).
Qualified accountant
Has a bias towards action and a desire for mission-driven work
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
